Now Hiring a Language Arts Tutor

Oregon Tutor is looking for a skilled and knowledgeable Language Arts tutor. An ideal candidate would have experience with young elementary students. A background tutoring students in middle school through college is a plus. We expect our tutors to be highly professional and qualified in their area of study as well as able to teach students to fit their individual needs. Oregon Tutor is open Monday through Friday from 12 pm to 8 pm. This is a part-time contract position with varying hours. We are currently providing tutoring at our center in Springfield, online and in-home.

  • You must be able and willing to pass a background check.

  • A bachelors degree or higher in English and/or education or related field is required.

  • Experience teaching or tutoring is preferred.

  • Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour based on education and experience

COVID-19 considerations:

To keep all tutors, students, and staff safe there is hand sanitizer at every table and hand washing station. All utensils, desks, and chairs are disinfected after every person. Every one is required to wear a mask and remain 6 feet apart.

Oregon Tutor is partnering with the Eugene Public Library this summer!

July 12th STEAM kits from Oregon Tutor will be offered free at the downtown, Sheldon and Bethel branches.  Come grab one while supplies last!!  Kits will teach elementary and middle school students about the colorful world of acids and bases.

Gretchen is now our Office Coordinator!

Our previous office coordinator, Emma, has moved on to another opportunity and we are excited to see where life takes her!  Gretchen will continue acting as a tutor with us, but will now also fill this role.
